Why we built ChatMate
Meeting someone new online used to feel electric. Somewhere along the way it turned into paperwork: profiles, bios, verification codes, ten screens before anyone says hello. What we made
ChatMate is random video chat with girls, built for the browser. The always-on side of the product is ChatMate TV: the same live channel, running around the clock across time zones, so the site is awake whenever you are.
What we care about
Three things, in order. Real people — every match is a live human on camera, never a recording. Real privacy — anonymous by default, nothing recorded, nothing sold. And real conversation — we would rather you have one good talk than fifty hollow matches, so the skip button is always free and never guilt-trips you for using it.
How we keep the lights on
ChatMate is free to start, and that is a promise, not a trap. Your first matches cost nothing; longer sessions can use coins, which is the whole business model. No subscriptions that quietly renew, no ads following you around the internet afterward.
